- Brief summaryPost operative pain is a serious issue especially in high impact surgery such as total hip or knee replacement. According to literature post operative pain treatment often does not suffice. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of post operative pain treatment in patients following the "Joint CareŽ"program for total hip or knee replacement in the Medical Centre Alkmaar. Based on this evaluation, adjustments to the post operative pain treatment protocol will be proposed if necesarry.
