- Brief summaryAlthough, epidemiological work shows that cannabis use is associated with more psychotic symptoms and worse disease outcome, patients with psychosis use cannabis more frequently than individuals from the general population. This study wishes to evaluate a new therapy to treat cannabis use in patients with psychosis. A combination of motivational interviewing techniques with cognitive behavioural therapy will be compared with treatment as usual for its effectiveness on cannabis use and psychotic symptoms. Participants will be assessed on baseline, on two timepoints during the treatment and on two timepoints after treatment.
