- Public TitleDesigning information for lung cancer patients in decision making.
- Scientific TitleTreatment of stage I non-small cell lung cancer: designing information for patient participation in decision making.
- ACRONYM
- hypothesisOne area where decision making is complex is in the treatment of stage I non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) where the two available options differ greatly. These options are surgical resection and stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR). In a recent studie we found that lung cancer patients search for information themselves on the Internet. In another studie we found that only limited information on SABR was available in the three studied countries (The Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom). Therefore, we developed a new website that meets the information needs of patients with regard to SABR. The aim of this study is to evaluate the usability of the new website.
