- Brief summaryRecent technical developments allow monitoring of deformation (strain) and area using echocardiography. Using this information enables the production of an deformation-area loop. In this study we will investigate the relationship between the deformation of the ventricle and the area of the ventricle for different (pressure or volume related) cardiovascular diseases. We aim to asses the usefulness of these deformation-area loops for detection and identification of (pressure related) cardiovascular diseases.
