- Brief summaryWww.runfitcheck.nl (in Dutch) is an evidence based intervention, and is developed to stimulate injury preventive behavior among unexperienced runners.
With a short questionnaire, the load-taking capacity and motivation of the runners are determined. Based on their answers, runners receive tailored advice for an optimal practice of their favorite sport. After receiving the tailored advices, the runners can leave their email address on the website. A personal exercise and running schedule will be sent to the runners every week until they accomplished their goals or desired running distance.

The aim of this project is to evaluate the effectiveness of the developed intervention. Both short-term effects (after 1 month), mid-term effects (after 3 months), and long-term effect (5 months) are evaluated. We expect that the use of the online tool www.runfitcheck.nl will cause a 10% behavior adjustment in unexperienced runners.
