- Brief summaryRadiotherapy is ofter part of the treatment for patients with lower grade gliomas. The progosis for these patients is good. That make long term effects of radiotherapy important. Radiotherapy can decrease neurocognitive function which impact both the patients as well as their relatives.
DTI can visualise the microstructure of the white matter of the brain using MRI. We expect to find changes on DTI is correlation with the cognitive function of patients. DTI is expected to be more sensitive compared to standard MRI sequences (T2/FLAIR).
This pilot study aims at demonstrating a correlation between DTI abnormalities and cognition in patients with lower grade gliomas of the brain after radiotherapy.
